Week 3

This was a busy week! I shot three graduations in two days, and it was really challenging trying to see things differently. I also worked on a story that I found...There was a nation-wide trail ride Sunday to raise money for horse rescues. There were affiliates in each state, and the affiliates for the state of Virginia were located in Bedford, which is in our coverage area. I spent a lot of time with Ron and Kathleen this week...I wish I'd found them earlier because I think they have a really interesting story, but it ran in the paper on Monday. I'm still hoping to spend more time with them this summer though. Here are some pictures from the week:

I really like this picture, but I'm not sure why:

Personal Project

Here's a picture from a project I started today. I took it when Landen's dad came home from work and was napping on the couch. I think it's one of my favorites from the day, but I'm not sure why.

Week 2 - Sports!

I worked the night shift all week, so all I shot was sports. I had five soccer games, two baseball games and a track meet (which I didn't shoot well). It was a fun week because I love shooting sports, and I'd like to get better at them. Let me know what you think!

Week 1

So I've finally started my summer internship with The Roanoke Times! Here's some stuff from my first week, plus some stuff of my own.

(Story about a news anchor who was celebrating his 30th year working at the station.)

More next week!
